All homes should still be there. They are in Irvington, an old historic
district on the eastside of Indianapolis. If they had children they
probably attended the grade school on S. Arlington Ave. near Beechwood Ave.
The High School would have been Thomas Carr Howe H.S. which closed in the
70's for a bit, was re-opened as Thomas Carr Howe Academy and became a High
School again fairly recently. Howe has a website
http://thehowenow.com/.
The Van Camp Co. is Van Camp's Pork & Beans fame so they may have some info
with their Human Resources dept.

Subject: [INMARION] Indianapolis info ca 1930-1940
I am looking for information regarding my grandfather's family in
Indianapolis from about 1930 until sometime later in that decade.
I have the following info from city directories:
1930 Parks, Elliott H. (Angela) water chemist, State Board of Health
Addr. 5715 Rawls Ave.
1931 Parks, Elliott (Angela) water and sewage Laboratory,
State Board of Health
1932-34: same
1935 Addr. change to: 5902 & 1/2 Beechwood St.
chemist: Van Camp Inc.
1936 336 Grand Ave.
The person who did these lookups stopped at 1936. I am not sure if
that was because I only asked for that time period of if that was the
end of Elliott Park's listing, He may have moved somewhere else but
I do not think so.
I was wondering if there was an employee newsletter during that time
period which might mention my grandfather. Also, would like to find
someone who would photograph those residences, if they are still
standing. I would be happy to pay for your time and efforts.
Thanks, Bobbie in MO
