Hi Valerie,
I am a member of the Guild of One-Name Studies also. Registered
surname SINKER, member #2820.
I can tell you that the 1875 Indianapolis directory has:
Culloden Frederick, traveling agent Shidler, Snyder & Co., res. 79 W Ohio
He is in the 1880 Indianapolis Directory also:
Culloden Frederick, trav agt, res. 336 E New York
Funny coincidence, or is it a coincidence that there is a Lawrence P.
Culloden and his family also living in Indianapolis at that time and he
is also from Ireland.
**** yes he is a brother
You can view the Indianapolis directory page images at:
http://www.evendon.net/PGHLookups/DirM.htm
The 1900 & 1910 censuses have a Frederick Culloden living with his
second wife, Emma, in Bozeman, Montana. In 1910 he is aged 77 &
from Ireland. They have been married twenty years & have had no
children. She is aged 54 and was born in Kentucky. He is an
insurance agent. In the 1910 census he immigrated in 1835 & in
the 1900 census he immigrated in 1862.
I can send you the images of those census pages, if you want to see them.
I cannot find his children who appeared in the 1880 census.
Crown Hill Cemetery, which is the largest cemetery in Indianapolis lists
these
burials:
Name Burial Date Section Lot Sub-lot
Culloden, Norman, R 03-20-1909 25 115
Culloden, L., P 01-24-1886 25 115
Culloden, Mary, F 01-13-1885 33 38
Culloden, 11-08-1882 25 115
Culloden, Frederick 06-19-1879 25 115
Their on-line burial locator has not been working correctly for quite some
time,
so there might be others buried there. I know that my own family used to be
listed on their site but they no longer are, even though I just visited the
cemetery
a few months ago and they were still buried there.
Searching the internet, I believe he is the chap that you have as:
Fred Culloden [553] b. 2 Aug 1831, Blessington, Wicklow, Ireland, d.1915,
Bozeman, Montana
And the other guy in Indianapolis is most likely:
Lawrence Pearson Culloden [291] b. 5 Feb 1823,Blessington, Wicklow,Ireland,
d. 1866
I hope you find some of this inform
