Shelley. So sorry about that. I have never seen a post like that from Joy ever. I've
always found her to be a good person and I was a little shocked at her comment. She joined
INGenWeb last year and has been a great person. I'm wondering if she was having a bad
day or something. I do know that she is somewhere in age around 70 or maybe a little older
but I've never seen her be snippy. I hope she might apologize and that you can forgive
her. I know that your intent is to return precious photos to families which is one of the
reasons you hunt those photos down and post the information you locate. And actually if
you did charge for them I wouldn't be surprised for all the time you invest in
obtaining and researching those photos. I think you do a grand service for people and help
reunite photos with families.
I thank you for what you do. It is a wonderful service.
Sincerely,
Denise, State Coordinator

Ok, I've done the research on my database including all emails and this is
what I find. Joy Fisher contacted me three times since 1999 regarding items
I recovered and posted. Twice in 2009, one I replied providing a copy of
the photograph for posting, the other item had already been returned to
family so I wasn't able to provide a copy. Then in 2010 she contacted me
regarding an album full of 33 photographs and asked me to scan them all and
send them to her, because of the number of photographs involved I responded
that I could not, but would leave that to the family who recovered the album
to share as they saw fit. That album was claimed by a family member within
days of that email exchange.
Joy, I've forwarded copies of all our previously correspondence to you so
that you have the documentation. I guess it is possible that you use other
names and email addresses, I've only researched "Joy Fisher" and
"jfisher(a)sdgenweb.com" in the search of my database.
Denise Wells has a copy of this photograph and will be posting, hopefully
all of this will lead to a family connection which is always my intention.
Shelley

Joy Fisher - when did you ask me to send you a scan of the photograph? Or of
any photograph for posting? Whenever anyone asks for a copy of a photograph
or other treasure to be posted on a website, I always share copies. Denise
Wells who asked, received a copy as she requested, and always does when she
requests that from me, she has for years now. I don't "sell" photographs
or
any other item so I'm not sure why you are suggesting that I do?
I will look back over my 15+ years of emails to see what correspondence
we've had Joy and will respond to you personally. Joy, if you also have a
website that you'd like to post the photograph on please let me know and
I'll be happy to share with you as well.
Shelley

Lotsa luck. This person is only interested in selling the photo. I've asked
her numerous times to send me a scan and I would add it to our web sites.
