I've "rescued" three photographs belonging to the WALKER family as follows;
. Sadie WALKER, taken at the Nicholson Studio in Kokomo, IN -
likely in the 1870's or 1880's - in her 30's or 40's - note
"Aunt" and "Alf"
. Alfred "A. B." WALKER, taken at the J. M. Strode Studio in
Kokomo, IN - likely in the 1890's - in his 50's or 60's - note "Truly
Yours"
and "Alf's Uncle"
. Sarah WALKER of Indianapolis, IN, no studio indicated - dated
1884 - "Sister of Dr. John J. SAVILLE"
Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information
regarding this family in census records:
1870 census of Kokomo, IN:
Alfred B. WALKER, age 40, a Banker, born NC
Sarah WALKER, wife, age 30, Keeping House, born IN
+ 1 Domestic Servant
1880 census of Kokomo, IN:
A. B. WALKER, age 50, Life Insurance, born NC, parents born VA/NC
Sarah WALKER, wife, age 40, Keeping House, born IN, parents born MD
J. L. PARSONS, no relation, age 38, a Minister, born IA, parents born IN
Caroline M. PARSONS, wife of JL, age 37, Keeping House, born IN, parents
born KY
Lola P. PARSONS, dau of JL, age 9, born IN
I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photographs can
be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or
you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
