I truly meant no disrespect and hope none of you took it that way. I used to know someone
who dowsed and found numerous buried items that way. Until then I had no idea it was used
for anything but finding water.

Here is what we do.. We round up everyone on this list and show up
pretending to want to aerate their yard with soil probes, and see if we can
find some buried tombstones. Think the home owners would mind? A lady who
lives nearby found where the cemetery was deeded by a Mustard for use as a
cemetery and an old map from 1900 shows it. It went from Broadway west to
the alley. Many old pioneer graveyards have been bulldozed in the name of
progress. Will post what we find out about it to this list. Bob

Wow!, I grew up on 57th and Broadway and know exactly the hill that you are
talking about! I, and I don't think anyone else in the neighborhood knew
that there was once a cemetery there. I'd love to find out more about it.
