Here is some info about a group working to I.D. all the links out there.
This was on Rootsweb-L:
Hi everyone!
As most of you know, Karen and a group of volunteers have been working to
identify and categorize all the genealogical pages on the Web. So far
they've done 9,175,027 pages, and you can see the results at:
http://www.linkpendium.com/
SO HERE'S THE NEW NEWS: Linkpendium is going the next step and we've begun
building "Genealogical Google" search engines for every state.
These search engines cover the free information uploaded to the Web by
libraries, other governmental units, various projects, and a multitude of
individuals.
We now have beta-test versions running for GA, IN, MD, NY, OH, and PA. The
search engine for each state covers about 100,000 Web pages.
And we're adding about one state per day.
You're welcome to try out the beta-test new search engines at the
Linkpendium Laboratory:

Have fun, and feel free to pass along the news to other folks.
Cheers, B.
