I would like to ask how you were able to find the 1901 Indianapolis
City
Directory?
I would like very much to look up names in it if at all possible. I apologize
for interrupting this conversation as far as the Baseball History. My
question is for my family names.
Thank you

I am a Baseball Historian and am attempting to find the exact date and
place of death of Philip F Coridan. He is last listed in the Indianapolis
City Directory in 1901.
What kind of help can I get via the mails from Indianapolis so that I can
find Phil Coridan? I assume that there are too many cemeteries to write to
Richard Malatzky.

I live in New York City and it has the 2nd best library in the country,
NYPL main branch on 42nd st. Now the microfilm for the city directories
outside of NYC was produced by the Library of Congress (top library) and if
you are interested in Indianapolis I can do a few look ups for you. But for
extensive research you need to find a library that also has these
microfilms. Phoenix? I have no idea who has the CDs for the entire country
besides NY and Washington DC. You would have to do your own research.
However, you would find at least 200 cities represented from 1861 to around
1940 (or the last CD produced for that city) if you fond the correct
library.
