There are some McCormick's in Indianapolis in the 1870 Hutchinson's Index.
Miss Alice D., teacher City Academy
Catharine (wid. Patrick)
George
James A., works Osgood Smith & Co.
John L., carpenter
I don't know if any of these would be yours or not. Your best bet is to
check the Death Index starting in 1882 and see if anyone died with father
John McCormick.
Also in Union Chapel Cemetery there is
Hugh McCormick Oct 3 1840-Feb 27 1908 Sec C Lot 90
Mary E. McCormick Nov 28, 1844-Sep 12 1918 Sec C Lot 90 (Hugh's wife?)
John McCormick (no dates) "lot sold to I.O.O.F. on 10 Apr 1905 Sec C
Lot 65 (Died/Buried elsewhere maybe?)
Sorry that's all I could find. Maybe it will help somehow. Good luck!
