I think its wonderful that someone took the time and
made the effort to go out and look for you. Now
that's what you call a genealogy angel.
I believe the Social Security Death Index started ca
1965 so his death year would explain why he doesn't
show up in the SSDI. Now that you have the death
date, you should be able to obtain a copy of his Death
Certificate from the Marion County Health Department.
If you need the information on how to obtain that, let
me know and I can send the address to you.
There are no public Death Schedules for Indianapolis
after 1920. They consider that information
confidential.
My Grandmother used to live on North Addison Ave which
was just a few blocks from where he lived on Belleview
Place. When I was first married, we rented a room
from my Grandmother for a few months. I don't
remember any Old Lake Road. I'll have to ask my
brother and see if he knows of any theater on old Lake
Road.

Believe it or not, a very kind person has found the
records I have hunted
for, for so long. Even took pictures of the
headstone.
Benjamin Franklin Brumley, died 3-30-1956. His
address in the obituary was
34 N. Belleview Place, Indpls., Ind. And he is
buried at Floral Park Cem.
Why does he not show in any death schedule, or the
fabulous up-to-date SSI?
His theater on Old Lake Rd. was within a mile or so
of there.
Thanks everyone, for your help.
