When I googled PP&C railroad, it gave me this link
http://www.aecma.org/Publications/glossary/gp.htm, which was a list of
abbreviations (PP&C meant Production, Planning & Control)--so maybe it
is not the name of a railroad.

Subject: [MARION COUNTY, IN] P.P. & C. R. R.
Does anyone know what Rail Road was referred to as the P.P. & C. R.R.?
My
ancestor worked as a Checkman for the railroad in 1868 in Indianapolis,
but
I've not figured out yet what the P. P. and C. stand for. Any help
appreciated.
