I apologize if this is slightly off-topic, but I'm not sure where
else to turn.
I have a trunk that has been handed down in my family. Family story says
that it was one of the trunks the family used when they immigrated to
Indianapolis from Germany. I'm not sure how to date the trunk to see if
the story is possible. The trunk is made of wood covered in metal; it has
a slightly rounded top, leather handles on each side and is approximately
75 centimeters (30 inches) wide by 40 centimeters (16 inches) deep by 50
centimeters (20 inches) tall. Is anyone out there familiar with a news
group, mailing list, etc where I might find more information?
Thank you!
Joel
