Subject: [INMARION] Trip to Indianapolis
I am planning a trip to Indianapolis in the next week or so. I have never
been there and would like to know which places are the best to look for
genealogy info and newspapers on microfilm. I have a list of places but some
of them say no family research. I will be researching the area of Center
Township. Hopefully get tombstone pictures from cemeteries and obituaries
from newspapers. And more death certs. Thanks for any help you may be able
to give. Ancyn <<<<<<
The following is a listing from a book I have and when I went to type it out
was surprised not to see addresses to some of the libraries, and no phone #'s
For what is is worth here is the list. A person can contact a phone
directory for addresses. I would be surprised if you found any newspapers on
microfilm however newspapers have what they call a morgue that you can go to
and research the accual newspaper itself. FHC's have the obits on microfich.
FHC is Family
History Center and is a library for the Later Day Saints the Morman Church
and they have been for yrs. and yrs. micorfilming every hamlet, town, city,
county and state and ferteral records. They are all in their church
libraries in one form or another. There is one in Indianapolis as it states
and surprised it has no address listed.
These are what are listed in the
