If you write to:
Indianapolis- Marion County Public Library
Newspaper & Periodical Division
PO Box 211
Indianapolis, In. 46206
Give deceased name, date of death. Enclose a SASE and $1.00 they will send
you a copy of the obit. I live in Florida and usually receive it in 2
weeks
time. It may give the cemetery or funeral home name and you can
follow up
from there.
You could also write for a copy of the death certificate which may
give
both the funeral home and the cemtery if buried in Marion Co..
Write to the Marion Co. Health Dept.
3838 N. Rural St
Indianapolis, In. 46205
Send check for $7.00 , name of the deceased and date of death. Also
name
of parents or spouse if you have that info.
Good Luck, J
Jan in Fl.
