I am wondering if there was ever a place in Indiana called New South
Wales.
I have heard stories that my grandfather was born in New South Wales, but the
census records all say that he was born in Indiana.
My grandfather's name was Charles Layfayette MILLES (b.1882 in Indiana), and
his father's name was James MILLES (b. 1849 in Indiana). James's second wife
was named Catherine, but I do not know his first wife's name. If anyone has
any information on this family, please contact me!
I found Charles and James living together in Clark county in the 1900
census. The family may have lived in Jeffersonville.
By 1910 Charles had married, and James had remarried, and both were living
in Indianapolis.
