Dear Ruth,
Thanks for responding.. It is my understanding that these particular census'
are for Marion County only. Just the city of Indianapolis. I guess that is
why they are such a premium. I do dread looking at all the entries but my
brick wall has no loose mortar and I am getting frustrated. Thanks again.

Subject: [INMARION] RE: Indianapolis Census 1900
I thought I would post this info. to the list in case anyone else is
interested.
Please note, I am in no way affilliated with Heritage Quest, other than
have
ordered census cd's from them, and am in no way belittling this
company,
products or service.
The census cd's are very reasonably priced, however they are broken down
to
where you have to order more than one.
Exa: My research, Halifax Co., VA - for the 1920 census, I had to order 2
cd's, as they had split Halifax Co. records up. It looks like for
Indianapolis for 1900, you might have to order 4 or 5 of the cd's.
The cd's are not set up like FTM census cd's or the Heritage Quest 1870
cd's.
You cannot research by surname, county, locality, etc. You have to go
through
pages until you find your county, then go through more pages to find
the
locality or district, then go page by page to find your surnames.
Many are very, very hard to read and if you use a HP printer, you have to
update your printer driver to print the pages, as I could not get mine to
print and had to call Heritage Quest Tech. Support. I was told they had
the
problems with all HP printers.
I have not found the 1900 census transcribed online and this is the only
company I have found that offer census records on cd up to 1920.
If anyone is interested to see what Heritage Quest offers for census
records
