I don't live in Indiana, and I'm writing only to suggest which of the
doccuments you mentioned for Rudoph Brown would be more correct with his
birth date. A death certificate is only a primary source for the decedant's
date, place, and cause of death and burial information. Everything else
found on it is only as good as the knowledge the informant had regarding
those details. Sometimes it's quite accurate, and other times it's not. It's
always good as clues, but any facts other than details of the death need to
be verified by other collaberating evidence. But the marriage
license/application was probably filled out by Rudolph Brown himself. Unless
he lied about his age, that date is probably more accurate. Good luck in
