Hi Cheri
You are right in what you say.
For those of us in Europe researching our USA families (usually the other
way round) it is difficult to identify localities.
I was amazed how many counties there are in Indiana.
My uncle and aunt married in marion county
County: Marion
Name: Maurice Gordon Lipson
Spouse: Mae Kathryn Becker
Marriage Date: 19 Nov 1921
and lived there when they died
Americana North
8350 Naab Road
Indianapolis
IN
Yet I have not found them in the online census for 1920.
I expected to see Mae with her brother Arthur and sister Edith. There was an
Arthur in 1920 in Marion county but the wrong one
Arthur L BECKER born 1898
not Arthur born 17 Nov 1901 and died Aug 1982.
So I have to take a lot of time to scan through all the other counties.
You are right!!!!!

http://www.sKcensus.com is not the same as
ancestry.com.
They actually obtain the actual census from the National Archives and
scan them onto a CD and send you the actual CD with entire county you
select.
It is much easier to view on the CD. And it does not take as long to
load as it does online.

I thought that at long last I should subscribe to
ancestry.com - I always
got the locked-up sign.
The first thing after paying was a demand for more payment to upgrade to
get
the census inforhmation.
Like a fule I did that and then found the States I wanted were not
available.
I live in Portugal so no LDS or library records.
I have found my subscription worse than useless.
Frustrated on Europe.
