I am working on the Schuetter/Schitter (pronounced Sheeter) line from Dubois
Co., IN. I have two Albert Schuetters that I cannot find where they
belong.
Albert Schuetter (b. abt 1881) md. Dessie Apple and had two sons (George and
Joseph) per the 1920 census. I cannot find this Albert on the 1930
census--they were in Vigo County in 1920, and per a news article of Albert
giving a testimonial for the Twelve Juice cure for stomach gas in 1930--
Albert and family were in Terre Haute then on College St. He was a
contractor and may have been born in KY.
The other Albert Schuetter was born 1890 and was Aloyius Carl "Albert" to an
Ann Schuetter of Dubois Co (no father given). This Albert may have gone
to Fresno, Ca and married an Ella and had a daughter Edna (per the 1920
census).
There was a George Schuetter who died Sept 6, 1994 in Indy and a Joe F.
Schuetter who died May 10, 1992 in Bloomington. Would there be someone
who would have access to an obit of these two possible brothers?
Thanks so much. Helen Zuber Keusch
