Kathy:
I can answer one of your questions. The old "City Cemetery" for
Indianapolis was on West Street south of Washington Street. The cemetery,
was closed and the burials were moved to several cemeteries, one being Crown
Hill, and I think another was Calvary. The city cemetery was also known as
Greenlawn, I think. Check under the cemeteries link at
rootsweb.com for
Marion County, Indiana.

Subject: [MARION COUNTY, IN] Indianapolis Cemeteries
Does anyone know of a particular old cemetery in Indianapolis that
would
be on the banks of the river ? Or one that would have been a burial ground
around that time ?
I live in New Jersey & am looking for the burial information on Vincent
SCOTT.
He died around 1829-30.
Also does the public library allow out of state people to get a card & pin
to
access the online records ? I would be happy to pay a reasonable fee.
Best regards,
Kathy
