Hi Kathy:
I believe you are referring to the original City
Cemetery which later became known as Greenlawn
Cemetery. if you look at my web page:
http://www.nancywhite.org
there is a short history of Greenlawn. It stopped
operation about 1890 and the caskets were moved to
other cemeteries. I myself believe that they moved
only those that had tombstones.

Does anyone know of a particular old cemetery in
Indianapolis that would be on the banks of the river
? Or one that would have been a burial ground around
that time ?
I live in New Jersey & am looking for the burial
information on Vincent SCOTT. He died around
1829-30.
Also does the public library allow out of state
people to get a card & pin to access the online
records ? I would be happy to pay a reasonable fee.
Best regards,
Kathy
