Hi Joel:
Go to the following URL.
http://www.worldcatlibraries.org/
It is a catalog for libraries worldwide. You can search it for your term
"Indianapolis, Chicago, and Peru Railroad." No. 1 is an example of one item
in the results. Scroll to the bottom of the record and you can input your
zip code and it will list the libraries who have this book. You can then
talk to your library about getting it on an interlibrary loan. It's a
fantastic system. You could also search on Indiana - History - Railroads
and there are 573 items. One of them is the second book listed.
1. Records, 1864.

Subject: [INMARION] History of the Railroad in Indy
Hello again,
Does anyone know of a good book or website on the history of the
Railroad in Indianapolis? After looking at the City Directories it
appears my ancestor and some of his siblings & siblings husbands
worked for the Railroad in the 1860s and 1870s. I'm especially
interested in the I.P. & C. R. R.; which I believe is the
Indianapolis, Peru & Chicago Railroad.
Thank you,
Joel
