Thank you for this information. From what I found on 1880 census, I believe
your William SPERBACK was a brother to my John Willard SPERBACK although
John's middle initial shows as "S" on 1880 census. John Willard SPERBACK
and wife,
Minnie M. LONEY, wound up in Marion Co., IN by 1910 census having married on
12 Nov 1902 in Tippecanoe Co.
Re Funk Newcomer Cemetery in Sheffield Twp., Tippecanoe Co., IN. Those
LONEYs are related to my line laterally and although I had their death dates from
another 'cousin' I did not know where they were buried and certainly did not
have copies of photos of their headstones. That is a great find for me and I
really appreciate your sharing. They are related laterally to Joseph LONEY
[father of Minnie SPERBACK] I'm currently working - descending from Alfred LONEY
who arrived in Tippecanoe County before 1850 census.
Thanks again for your time.

The SPERBACK's lived in Tippecanoe County, IN for many
years, and some lived in Greencastle, IN (Putnam
County) around the 1930's. My gg-grandmother's sister,
Ellen CARTE, was married to a William SPERBACK. They
had a son named Justin SPERBACK who was in
Indianapolis with my great-grandpa's brother John
PLATT when he was murdered in 1922. They all lived in
the south-eastern portion of Tippecanoe county in the
late 1800's-early 1900's and there was also a LONEY
family who lived there, there are several buried in
Funk-Newcomer Cemetery, you can see their graves on
Find-A-Grave. I don't know how all of these connect
but it is my understanding that there was only 1
SPERBACK family, I'm pretty sure there are some people
in Tippecanoe County researching them who might be
able to help you out. I know there are folks there
researching the LONEY family, not sure about KEY.
