My g-gfather died at the Indiana State Soldiers Home in Lafayette,
Tippicanoe Co, IN, in 1921. I'm not sure when it closed or where the records
are, but I'd check with that county's Genealogical Society or a library in
the area.

Subject: [MARION COUNTY, IN] Soldiers and Sailors Home
I have an ancestor who died in the Soldiers and Sailors Home in
Indianapolis, Indiana, which is Marion Co. However, on his CW record
Grant Co, IN is
also mentioned. Does anyone know whether there were homes for CW (and
maybe
Spanish was vets), in both areas.
Also, is it possible that there would be records somewhere of the veterans
who were living in these homes.
Thanks for any info that anyone may provide
