SEARCHING FOR KERNS,KERN,KERNS FAMILY WHO LIVED IN INDIANAPOLIS AREA IN
1800'S.....HARRIET, MAGGIE, DONALD , IDA MAE, PARENTS W. AND ANNA KERNS
IF YOU KNOW OF THIS FAMILY PLEASE CONTACT ME THANK YOU SANDRA AMBROSE
Myra,
What info do the directories show for John St. Clair Duckwall? He lived at
714 N. New Jersey Street in Indianapolis until his death Sept. 27, 1905. I
am unable to read the longhand on his death certificate which gives his
occupation. I believe he was a merchant or a pharmacist from what I'm able
to guess from the certificate and from talking with others in the family,
but I would like to know for certain and also learn of any other details
which you may come across. Someday I hope to get to Indy and to SW Ohio to
do some research on my gg-grandfather.
If you have time, please also look for his wife Mary Luella Helfer Duckwall
and children William St. Clair Duckwall, John Charles Duckwall, and
Jessamine Duckwall. William died in 1926. John and sister Jessie came
west to Hood River, Oregon. They died in the 1970s. Anything which would
give more info on the family would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ann Stoddard, Oregon
Yes I do have that info. Thanks.

Dr. William Arthur Fox, of Indianapolis, was the son of William Thorpe Fox
and his wife Mary Atkinson, and was born in either Cass or Berrien County,
Michigan around 1867.
I don't know whether he was a physician or a dentist, but he lived and
probably practiced in Indianapolis. He died after 1838, because he
attended the funeral of a cousin in Niles MI, in September of that year.
His wife was Nallie Steavens, and he had two children, Mary Ruth Fox, born
April 1896, and William Paul Fox.
I would really like to obtain a copy of a newspaper obituary, for William
or his wife or children. This is about the last branch of the Atkinson
family on whom I haven't obtained information.
Thanks for any help or information.

Randy;
Thanks so much for that website. I have been looking for the Orlando
Fl. Public Library . They have a wonderful genealogy collection including the
complete 1930 Census. I found it and now have a description of their
collection ,their hours and a map to get there.
Thanks, Jan in FL.

Close! It is http://www.imcpl.lib.in.us/
Beware though, much of what they have to offer online requires one to be a
member of their library system.
