Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
After a search on Google, I found this entry that may apply.
Cora Resnover Hampton (ca. 1890-1945) and Willa Resnover Donaldson (ca.
1894-1978) were the daughters of James H. and Narcissus Stokes Resnover. The
sisters, who came to Indianapolis at an early age from Nashville, Tennessee,
were educated in the Indianapolis public schools. They attended Frederick
Douglass School #19, Manual Training High School, and Teacher's College of
Indianapolis that became the Blaker College of Education at Butler
University. Both sisters matriculated at the college before 1915. They worked
as teachers, Cora in Indianapolis teaching junior high school and Willa, an
art teacher and supervisor taught in Carbonale and Cairo, Illinois.
The name Blaker College of Education sounds familiar
Since I taught at Butler University (Jordan College of Fine Arts - Music) for
30 years (now retired), here are some possible sources for info:
College of Education office, Butler University: Phone # (317) 940-9517 The
office might have a possible historical contact or information.
Irwin Library Archives: Call library at (317) 940-9235. This is number for
Reference/Information. Ask about a phone number for the University Archives
I hope these references help.

GREETINGS
My mother attended a Teacher's College in Indianapolis during the late 1920s.
I presume she attended for two years, as I think this was the practice at
the time for Kindergarten teachers.
Would anyone have any idea about the name of such a college ??

Is there anyone out there who has this census? I want to confirm the following names:
Catherine, Joseph, Mary and William Suppus-page59, Indianapolis 3rd ward, 1860 Federal Census index, ID#109136
Thanks!

Hello Marion County researchers,
I want to let everyone know with this email message that as ListMaster,
I have now removed jbaker(a)mcleodusa.net from the Marion County, IN. email
list.
This action has been taken after careful consideration of the fact that I,
among others have asked him to refrain from advertising on the list and after
reviewing the list messages and realizing that there has only been messages
posted from this person for the purposes of advertisement, which is NOT
allowed on the list.
I am sorry that I didn't get to it sooner, but I have not been on line for a
few days.
This list is only for the purpose of sharing, connecting and chatting about
Marion Co. IN. genealogy.
Thanks,
Barbara Cline Hutchinson
Marion Co. IN. listmaster

This man has been told REPEATEDLY not to advertise on this list. He does it
about every 2 months. I have em'd him 2 times about it myself. Would you
really like to do business to a man that does not listen to what you want?

CREATING MEMORIES AND SATISFACTION FOR 55 YEARS, WITH A

Hi All,
I would like to ask a very big favor of someone that has the 1880, 1890,
and the 1900 census, for Marion County, for the following two names.
1, Fredrich Wilhelm Heinrick Schakel
2. Anton Christian Fredrick Schakel
Thanks for your help and I owe you a big HUG ! (((( ))))

Myra - Thank you for the information on Absolem Clark. Either of these is
a possible. Could you send me the age in Johnson CO. and Morgan CO. Also
wives and children's names? Of course Alma could be a middle name or
nickname. Thanks again.
Virginia
Lora - Thank you very much for the information, but I don't see a fit
here. I have since received further advice that he was in Kansas by 1880.
Alma looks good, but too young. Thanks anyway.
Virginia
I recently found the names of the children of Earl Wells and Bertha Coatney. These children were born in Barren County, Kentucky and I know that this family was living in Scottsburg, Scott County, Indiana in June of 1914. Later I know that Bertha was living in Indianapolis. Indiana. I am looking for any information or possible descendents of these 4 offspring of Earl and Bertha Wells. Don Coatney
Descendants of Earl A. Wells
Generation No. 1
1. EARL A.1 WELLS was born March 01, 1888. He married BERTHA MAY COATNEY December 23, 1906, daughter of GEORGE COMBE COATNEY and ELIZA ELLA MCCLELLAN. She was born March 22, 1887.
Notes for BERTHA MAY COATNEY:
Granddaughter of Arminda Bernard Spurgeon Coatney.
More About EARL WELLS and BERTHA COATNEY:
Marriage: December 23, 1906
Children of EARL WELLS and BERTHA COATNEY are:
i. ETHEL2 WELLS, b. Abt. 1908, Barren County, Kentucky.
ii. GEORGE C. WELLS, b. Abt. 1909, Barren County, Kentucky.
iii. CORA P. WELLS, b. March 05, 1911, Barren County, Kentucky.
iv. TEDDY S. WELLS, b. August 09, 1913, Barren County, Kentucky.
Thank you so much for the information you provided. I think my George was
the son of Holley Leeds, who you list in your 1910 Census.
Do you have the additional information (wife, kids, etc.) for the 1910
census? If you do, pleeeeez look up the info on Holley R. Leeds.
I really appreciate your help!
