Linda,
I live just a few blocks West of the location you mentioned in your
query. I have obtained death certificates from Indianapolis and had to
have a death date. Do you have that? If not are they buried near me? I
could go to the cemetery and ask for the locaton and dates for you, if
you have an idea where they are buried.

This completes the list. I did not vary from how the cards read. You
have to remember alot of these were busted and the people at Floral Park
did their best to preserve all information. Even just a first name. I
do hope this helps someone.

I am posting the names only that Floral Park has from Greenlawn. If you
find an ancestor I may have dates. Feel free to e-mail me.

Hi:
There was a Greenlawn Cemetery that was moved to Floral Park Cemetery.
There is a whole section called Greenlawn there, and a special section is
chained off with the early pioneers graves.
J.
Was there ever a Greenwood Cemetery which contained early Indianapolis
pioneers. Supposedly it was closed in 1924 because the original site was
being bulldozed and graves moved to Floral Park Cemetery? Thanks.
Hi:
Floral Park Cemetery is right behind Mt. Jackson Cemetery. Both are off
Tibbs Ave. Neither are very close to Maywood, but I have relatives in Floral
Park and we didn't live far from Maywood.

There was a small cemetery (Foltz family plus several other families)
located at Foltz and Mooresville Rd. The last time I saw it was 1956, so I
don't know if it is still there or not. It's closer to Maywood than Mt.
Jackson.

Can someone please tell me which cemeteries operating in the late 1800s were
closest to the Maywood community? (Maywood straddles the boundary between
Decatur and Wayne Townships.)
Looking at the cemetery list on the Genealogical Society of Marion County's web
site, Mount Jackson Cemetery at 200 N. Tibbs seems to be the closest one. Were
there any others nearby? Have the Mount Jackson tombstones been read? Any
information appreciated.

Just visited the Crown Hill Cemetary Web Page(Marion Co IN).
http://www.crownhill.org/cgi-local/db_search.cgi
Do any of you relate to the Hartmans listed there.
I have a John Hartman md Ann Markland that left NC in the early 1800's
and went to Marion Co IN. He had a brother Daniel md Salome Green in NC
and may have gone to Marrion Co IN.Another brother Jacob went to
Fountain Co IN. George ,another brother, stayed in Davie/Forsyth Co NC.
He is my line and I have info to share if anyone thinks they could
connect to this family.
Thanks

For the first time I have found a statement that indicates not only that my
ancestors were in Marion County in the 1840s, but that a chilld was b. in
1843 in Indianapolis. Now I am seeking access to cemetery listings for
Indianapolis and can't seem to find a web site with that information. Can
someone direct me? Seeking cemetery listing for a Rebecca Clary (Cleary -
Clarie), whose death probably occurred abt 1846.

My g-grandfather, Milton Carey, founded a dairy, Carey and Sons Dairy, in
Indianapolis in about 1901. The dairy operated from 1901 to 1940 as a sole
proprietorship, and was incorporated in 1940. I am interested in learning more
about the dairy and its operations during the period 1901 to 1940. Does anyone
know what tax records or health department records would be available for family
businesses, and where to access them?
