Hello everybody!
I have just learnt about two new lines that are connected to the
FOLLETT family which I 've been researching for some time.
Emma (FOLLETT) was married to Elmer HUGHEY
They lived on 2829 E. Riverside in Indianapolis in 1952 and had
apparently lived there for about 20 years.
Is anybody on this list that has any knowledge of this Hughey family?
Carrie (FOLLETT) and Edward MARBACH
Does anybody know anything about a MARBACH family in Indianapolis?
I found two Edward MARBACHs on the SSDI, one died in November of
1965, the other died in July 1979 in Indianapolis.
Thanks for any help or suggestions on how to pursue this further.

Hello, List.
I am searching BROOKS, Abijah Lafayette, born 1866 Brazil, IN, d June 1942
Bremerton, WA. He was photographed in Indianapolis in 1890s, was in Seattle,
WA in 1903, working as a carpenter.
I'm hoping for a relative, or someone with a city directory at hand, or?

Hello everybody,
I have just found out that one of the people that I've been
researching is apparently buried at West Newton Cemetery.
Is anybody on this list that has access to the records for this
cemetery and could do a look up for me?
I am trying to locate the grave of Charles Underwood FOLLETT. He died
in 1968 in Indianapolis.
Could somebody email me the exact address of this cemetery?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Angela

Joy and Sharee,
I think both Broad Ripple and Washington were established at a later date. I
know Shortridge was there and I am pretty sure about Manual since my Mother
went there about 1914.

Jolene and Rooter's please read:
All I really know at this time is that my Great Grandfather's name was Egbert
Jacob Hartley approx time born January 1866. He married Mary Elizabeth Haines
6-11-1894 in Marion County, Indiana (Indianapolis) She died from childbirth
complications within 2 weeks of his birth. My Grandfathers name is Earl
Russell Hartley b 4-25-1895. Egbert gave my grandpa to her family to raise.
He had 2 sisters Jesse and Bessie assumed twins (?) Jessie married a Vaughan.
Kids possiably a Marion and R. J., They lived in Guernsey, Wyoming. He could
of been William Vaughan.
He also had Jessie for a sister she married a Edward Berger and they lived in
Fort Wayne, In 12/9/1931and owned a Hotel. They also lived in Garret, Indiana.
I got this information from my connecting line.
This is where it comes in at.
My great grandfather married a second time to Martha Ann Eikenberg
May 23, 1896 after loosing his first wife. She had maybe several daughters by
her first marriage. Any ways Egbert and Martha had a daughter Anna Agnes
Hartley b 9-1-1916 in Indianapolis Marion County, Indiana. Martha died approx
2 years after Anna's birth. Egbert raised Anna,
I have a 1900 census they lived in Clay County, Brazil Township. They traveled
around quite a bit. Egbert was a Engineer for the Railroad. His Parents were
to have been born in Indiana also. They went to Ludington (Mason County),
Michigan in 1935 to see my Grandfather and stayed a lil while. Then they
moved to New Mexico where I think Egbert died. (Guadulupe County and Curry
County)Anna moved to Wyoming after his death and then later she moved onto
Washington. An help would certinally be appreciated.
Thanks,

Joy,
One was Shortridge High School and the other was either Arsenal Tech or
Emmerich Manual Training. Shortridge is now a middle school but the other two
are still in operation in Indianapolis.

Hello Listers,
Anyone know where I can find records of the Grange?
It is a Farmer's organization that was started in Indianapolis (I think) and
played a part in the "Greenback Party" of the 1870's.
My grandmother was a member of Grange, and she was born in Indianapolis.
Since I am having such trouble finding her family, I thought I would try this
avenue.
Also, I understand there were two high school's in Indianapolis in the 1890's,
wondered what the names's of the school's were, and where records are kept?
Any help will be appreciated,
Joy
