Subject: [INLAPORT] PONSIER or PONCIER or PANZIER or PANZER - BIELEFELT - HEWSON Family
Photograph
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Clara PONSIER of LaPorte, Indiana which
was taken at the Bryant Studio in LaPorte. The photograph appears to have
been taken in the 1890's with Clara in her teens at the time. Based on
limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding
Clara and her family:
Clara E. PONSIER dau of William PONSIER or PANZER or PANZIER or PONCIER and
Louisa C. BIELEFELT married Ralph W. HEWSON son of John W. HEWSON and Mary
L. SMITH on the 15th of June 1910 in LaPorte, IN.
Census records provide the following information:
1900 census of Union Township, IN:
William PANZIER, age 51, born Jan 1849, married 21 years, born Germany,
parents born Germany, to USA 1869, a Farmer
Louise C. PANZIER, wife, age 43, born Oct 1856, married 21 years, 2
children/1 living, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1857
Clara S. PANZIER, dau, age 17, born Nov 1882, born IN, at School
+ 1 Servant
1910 census of Washington Township, IN:
William PONCIER, age 61, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA 1869,
Own Income
Louise PONCIER, wife, age 53, born Germany, parents born Germany, to USA
1869
Clara PONCIER, dau, age 17, born IN, a Music Teacher
1920 census of South Bend/Portage Township, IN:
Ralph W. HEWSON, age 37, born IN, parents born England/PA, a Mechanical
Engineer
Clara Ella HEWSON, wife, age 37, born IN, parents born Germany/IN
John W. HEWSON, father, age 78, a widower, born England, parents born

I am hoping to locate someone from Clara's family so that this beautiful old
photograph can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member
of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
