I am researching Pahl, Schultz, Sclief and Rotzien.
Gustav Schultz married Caroline Schlief in Fon Du Lac County in 1870 and
they immediately moved to Minnesota. Gustav came to the USA withhis mother
and Stepfather Wilhelm Rotzien. Gustav and Caroline's daughter Lydia married
Emil Pahl from Indiana but I believe Emil was related to some of the Pahl
families in Wisconsin and Minnesota since he had visited there several times
before meeting and marrying Lydia. I know his middle name was Julious and
there was a Julious Pahl in Dodge County in 1880 census. I would like to
compare notes with anyone researching Pahl, Schlief or Rotzien/Schultz. I
recently started corresponding with a man in Germany trying to trace his
Pahl ancestors who came to the USA in the 1850's and settled in Wisconsin,
Minnesota and possibly Indiana. They were from Poburke, Posen Prussia (now
Poland). I would like to try and connect the dots on these Pahl lines, if
possible, for him.
