Hi Syl and posters,
It looks like it is in district #55 in LaPorte County, if you have the paid
for service on
Ancestry.com
Also here is a map on our web site showing a map of LaPorte County, Indiana.

Springville Township is definitely in LaPorte County, Indiana and definitely
borders Berrien County, Michigan.

Subject: 1900 Census in Springville
I have been looking at Ancestry.com's 1900 Census Images for
LaPorte
County,
and cannot find the enumeration district for Springville. On the map,
it
appears to be about halfway between Michigan City and New Carlisle, and
due
north of La Porte. I also couldn't find New Carlisle in the St
Joseph
County
listing of enumeration districts. Would it be part of another
township?
I am hoping to find some information about the family of Rev. John DELCAMP
who helped to build the Methodist Church in Springville and was pastor
there
1887-1890. He moved to Three Oaks, Berrien, MI in 1897. Also hoping
to
find
more about his daughter, Eva DELCAMP who married Charles BARNES in
1891;
and
daughter, Rosa DELCAMP who married Frank LIVELSBURGER in 1894.
I would welcome your assistance.
Thanks,
Syl in Florida
