Hi Syl and posters,
It looks like it is in district #55 in LaPorte County, if you have the
paid
for service on
Ancestry.com
If I recall, there are two films which cover all of LaPorte County
in the 1900 census. If you can't find an actual district labeled
as the village of Springville it would probably be an indication that
the village was ennumerated along with all the other rural houses
in Springfield TWP.
Springville Township is definitely in LaPorte County, Indiana and
definitely
You mean Springfield. ;-)

Springfield Township. The village of Springville is located in the SE
quarter of section 3 of Springfield TWP. Actually, the "Free
Methodist Church" is probably just over the line in Section 2, right
at the Eastern edge of the village just before it goes back to
rural plats.
Look for names in Springfied Township of:
D. F. Rose, J.G. Schoening, F. Knuthm J, Rhodes, Chas Schultz
(names from 1894 plat map) and Schumacher, Nye, Layton and
Shippee (names from 1907 plat map) and somewhere near those
names you should find your people. (don't see them on the Plat
maps.)
