Message Board Post:
I am looking for information on Edmund Weston and his family. The information that we
have states that he was born in either Maine or Massachusetts, he served in the
revolutionary war in Massachusetts, then moved to Mercer County PA, then moved to LaGrange
County IN, where presumably he died. He is a revolutionary war vet lying in an unmarked
grave, and that's just unacceptable. Our local DAR chapter is trying to put up a
marker for him but we need some proof of his birth, and something that actually says that
he died in LaGrange County and where. All we know for sure is that his last pension check
was mailed to LaGrange County 3 Mar 1837. He enlisted 6 Jan 1777, served in Captain George
Smith's Company in Massachusetts and under Col Joseph Vose Regiment 6 Jan 1777 to 31
Dec 1779. Any documentation that you have would that could help confirm his birth or death
would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
