I have a LaGrange County Fisher too, kind of. My ancestress, Margaret
Aydelotte, married 2nd one John Fisher, March 10, 1810 in Worcester County
Md. They moved with Margaret's son, James Taylor, to Brown County OH
sometime after this. Between 1834-1837 they moved to LaGrange County,
likely Eden Twp, as this is where James Taylor settled with his family. Do
you know of any connection between John and Samuel Fisher?

Subject: My breakthrough - FISHER, Samuel
A very timely request! Just two days ago I finally found Jane
Ellen Fisher, wife of Jacob Daniel Camp, in the household of her
father in 1850 in Wayne County, Ohio. Her father was Samuel
Fisher and he is on the 1870 and 1880 censuses of LaGrange
County next to Jacob Camp. Emanuel Fleck and Savilla Fisher are
also nearby. So far I have been able to piece together Samuel's
family as this:
Samuel Fisher, born 1817 in Pennsylvania, married Martha ?, born
1815 in Pennsylvania, died 1868. They had at least eight
children, all born in Ohio:
1) Jane Ellen (1836-1910) married Jacob Daniel Camp (1829-1906),
son of Ulrich Camp and Magdalena Buehler. This is my line.
Both are buried in LaGrange County. They had five children.
2) Mary, b. 1838
3) Savilla (1840-1889) married Emanuel Fleck, b. 1833, son of
Peter Fleck and Christena ?. Savilla is buried in LaGrange
County. They had thirteen children. A biography of Emanuel
Fleck is posted on the LaGrange County web site.
4) Levina, b. 1844
5) Samuel, b. Sep 1849
6) Hester A., b. 1854, married Albert Moulton, b. 1849
7) John H. (1855-1932) married Sarah Giggy (1862-1941). They
had at least four sons. They are both buried in LaGrange
County.
8) Amanda, b. 1858
In 1880, Samuel Fisher also had a grandson, Austin Fisher, b.
1868, living in his household. Is anyone else researching this
bunch?

Hi All
I'm not sure about everyone else, but I was tired of seeing
all the spam
getting through to our list. So, I have changed the list
settings so that
you must be a subscriber to post to the list. That should get
rid of the
annoying posts.
Anyone had any new break throughs on their research? New lines
they are
looking for? This list has been very quiet, how about sharing
your news with
us!
