LaGRANGE-- Hollis D. NEWMAN, 71, Rt. 3, Howe, died at 7:30 P.M. Sunday in LaGrange County
Hospital.
He was born Oct. 12, 1895, in LaGrange County, Ind., a son of Frank Burr and Adella
(KIMLER) NEWMAN.
he was married to Stella WEIDERMAN, Dec. 22, 1921, in Sturgis. She died in 1959.
Mr. NEWMAN had been an employee of the Kirsch Company, in Sturgis, for many years,
until he retired. He was a member of the Congregational Church in Ontario and American
Legion Post No. 215, LaGrange.
He was a veteran of World War 1.
Surviving are four sons , Alvin, of Michigan City, Ind., and Elvin, Rt. 3, LaGrange,
who are twins; Carlton, of San Antonio, Tex., and Paul, of Auburn, Ind.; one daughter,
Mrs. Richard (Della) SCOTT, Rt. 3, Howe; seven grandchildren, and one brother , Cecil
NEWMAN, of Sturgis.
Full military services will be held at @ P.M. Wednesday in the Carney Funeral Home here
with the rev. M. D. Kilver, pastor of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial
will take place in the Ontario Cemetery.
Friends are being received in the funeral home.
