John Walter(s)* of South Milford Taken After Long Illness
IS SURVIVED BY SIX CHILDREN
South Milford, July 27.- John Walter(s), age 85,one of the oldest citizens here, and for
more than a half century a rsident of this place and vicinity, died Monday morning at 1
o'clock. Death followed an illness of several years, resulting from a complication of
diseases incident to old age.
The decedent was a veteran of the civil war and for many years followed his trade as a
cobbler. His death removes one of the earliest residents of this community. His wife died
eighteen years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Trindle and Miss Ida Walter(s) of South Milford,
and Miss Lizzie Walter(s) of South Bend, and three sons, George, William, and Charles, all
of this vicinity.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon, services being conducted from the Baptist
church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment South Milford cemetery.
