Elmer C. MILLER - age 73, Topeka, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, at St. Joseph Regional
Medical Center, South Bend, where he was admitted the previous Thursday. He was born July
28, 1925, in Defiance County, Ohio, the son of Christ and Sara (SHROCK) MILLER. He worked
as a foreman for Schult Mobile Homes in Middlebury for more than 20 years, retiring in
1973. He then was owner-operator of Miller Carpeting and Miller Paneling, both of Topeka.
He was a member of Emma Mennonite Church. He was married June 16, 1950, in Goshen to Ann
MILLER. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Phyllis (Mrs. Doug) MISHLER,
Topeka, and Karen (Mrs. Donald) FERGISON (sic), Goshen; two sons, Roger, Latty, Ohio, and
Cliff, Topeka; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary MILLER and
Ida (Mrs) Calvin LAMBRIGHT, both of Topeka, and Saraetta (Mrs. Manas) MILLER, Shipshewana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Ben and

t, Jr. MILLER. Visitation is Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Emma Mennonite
Church, and one hour prior to services. The funeral is Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church,
with the Revs. Ellis Croyle, Etril Leinbach and Greg Schrock officiating. Burial is in
Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka. Preferred memorials are to the church. Miller Funeral
