The Carr's were Quakers from RI. Martha Mason, wife of Daniel 2, were married there
and they are both buried in the English Prairie cemetery near Brighton, IN, in Greenfield
Twp, LaGrange Co. I believe this was previously a Quaker (Friends) church. Martha
Mason's father was Jesse Mason. He is one of my DAR lines.
Daniel 1 was born in 1755, m. Amy Hadsell (b. (Carr Bible spells this Hadcil, Daniel
2's youngest son). He was in Wyoming County during the Rev War and survived the
massacre. His father-in-law and brother-in-law were killed. He was a prisoner of the
indians 7 years. His mother-in-law and wife escaped over the mountains back to RI. He
rejoined them 7 yrs later when freed. His sons, Jame Hadsell, b. 1790, RI and Daniel 2,
b.1795, RI.
I am trying to document the Daniel 1 and Daniel 2 relationship.
Best, Miriam Carnahan
