MICHAEL GROSSMAN JANUARY 21,1800-April 19,1876
I Michael Grossman of Johnson Twp. in the county of LaGrange and State
of Indiana being of sound mind memory and considering the uncertainty of
life,do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last
Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made.
First- I direct that all my just debts and funeral expences be paid and
satisfied as soon as convenient after my decease.
Second-All the rest,residue and remaining part of my estate,I order and
direct to be converted into money as soon as conveniet after my decease
and to be disposed of as follows.
I give and bequeath to my executor whoever he may be and his successor
intrust the sum of four hundred dollars that he or they shall and do place
the same out at interest on good and approved security for the benefit
of my grand'daughter Dora Ernsberger and upon said grand'daughter Dora
Ernsberger attaining the age of twenty one years,I order and direct that
said sum of four hundred dollars together with accrued interest shall be
paid to her or my executor may expend a reasonable portion out of the above
named legacy if in his judgement the same may be neccesary for her support
and maintanance during her minority.And in case my said grand'daughter
should not live to attain the age of twenty one years,then I order and
direct that the sum set apart for her to be divided between my other heirs,share
and share alike.
Third-I order and direct that the remainder of my estate shall be divided
into six equal parts or shares and be disposed of as follows towit.
One free and equal sixth part or share I give and bequeath to my daughter
Susanna intermarried with Jasper Charles.
One other of the free and equal sixth part or share I give and bequeath
to my son David Wilson Grossman.
One other of the said free and equal part or share I give and bequeath
to my son Henry Michael Grossman.
One other of the said free and equal sixth part or share I give and bequeath
to my daughter Elizabeth Elenore intermarried with Thomas Noill. (Moses
Noel)
One other of the said free and equal sixth part or share I give and bequeath
to my executer whoever he may be and his successor in trust that he or
they shall do,put and place the smae out at interest on good and approved
security and pay over the interest derived there from,from time to time
when and as the same may be got in and received to my daughter Mary Ann
intermarried to John Malone for and during her natural life,for her sole
and seperate use and not to be in any manner whatever liable to or for
contracts,debts or engagements of her husband.And from and after the decease
of my daughter Mary Ann,then as to the principle I direct that the same
shall be equally divided to and among her children she may leave.And in
case my said daughter shall die leaving no issue,then I direct that the
principle aforesaid shall be equally divided to and among my other children
and their heirs;such heirs however taking only such share or part thereof
as his,her or their parent would have been entitled to had he or she been
living.
One other of the said free and equal sixth part or share I give and bequeath
to my executor and his successor interest that he or they shall and do
put and place the same out at interest in the manner aforesaid and pay
over the interest from time to time as the same may be got in and recieved
to my son Samuel Reuben Grossman for and during his natural life and from
his decease;then as to
said principle I direct that the same shall be divided to and among his
lawful heirs and in case my son Reuben shall die leaving no children then
I direct that the principle shall be divided to and among my other children
and their heirs in the aforesaid.
I further direct that in case any of my children or lawful heirs should
be dissatisfied with any of the provisions made in this my last Will and
Testament and attempt to contest or annul the same,that any one making
such attempt shall have his or her or their share reduced to the sum of
one dollar.
In witness whereof I Michael Grossman the testator have to my last Will
and Testament written one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this 7th
day of February 1876.

The above mentioned instrument was subscribed by said Michael Grossman
in our presence and acknowledged by him to each of us,and he at the sametime
published and declared the above instrument so subscribed to be his last
Will and Testament,and we at the testators request and in his presence
have signed our names as witnesses hereto and written opposite our names
our perspective places of residence.
