THEY SWAPPED WIVES
----------------
An Agreement Made Ten Years Since Just Carried Out.
John Krubelman of Cass County, Mich., the other day in La Grange county, Ind., married
the divorced wife of William R. Heckleyman of Monroe county, O., and Heckleyman married
Krubelman's wife, who had also been legally separated from her husband.
Krubelman and Heckleyman were suitors for the hand of Cora Higgins, a pretty country
girl, who was at a loss to decide which one she preferred for a husband. The sequel was a
compact by the terms of which she agreed to marry Heckleyman and live with him as his wife
for ten years, when Krubelman, if he were living, was to become her husband.
Heckeyman recently went west and obtained a divorce, as did also Krubeman, and Mrs.
Krubelman became Mrs. Heckleyman and Mrs. Heckleyman, Mrs. Krubelman, the novel vow of ten
years before being thus faithfully kept.
