Interesting but sad. I was born in Petoskey, Michigan, as the town got the name from
local Native American family, and then named the coral fossil that dominately found on the
beaches around it from the town name.

Oh, how sad.
Marge helped me find the "missing" immigration papers on my great-great
grandfather (they weren't where Filby's index said they were <g>) - a
totally serendipitous finding when she was sorting through loose papers in
the courthouse before they were sent to Indianapolis for storage. I'll be
forever grateful for her remembering his name and contacting me as soon as
she found the documents! It was the definitive document needed for when he
came to the US and settled in the county.
Wish I could be at the memorial.

For those of you that have done any genealogy research in Kosciusko County,
especially on the US GenWeb page, I am sure you have seen Marge Priser's
name. She worked many hours on genealogy databases so everyone could find
their ancestors in Kosciusko County. Marge lost her battle with cancer
Saturday. She will be greatly missed in the genealogy world, especially at
the Kosciusko County Historical Society's Genealogy Library.
