I found a marriage record on
Ancestry.com for Mathias Strine of Elkhart IN and Anna C.
Potter. It says they married in 1863.

I'm trying to find out what happened to my gggrandmother, Anna Catherine Server
Potter. She was born in Indiana and was married to Joseph Potter of Saline County,
Arkansas, but she disappears from the records in Arkansas about 1857. Accordng to county
records there, she filed for divorce but did not prosecute the case, so it was dropped.
Joseph remarried soon after that, though. I wonder whether they thought they were
divorced!
Is there any chance this Anna C. Potter is my Anna Catherine? She would have been 40 years
old in 1863.
