"I will try and write you a few lines. We are able to eat and sleep,
but not well. Mother has her health tolerable good this winter.
Lavina has a bad cough at present and Myself getting better from a
misstep that hurt my crippled leg. I suffered one day and one night as
bad as when I cut it. I was up to see Elias Last Sunday and got home
Monday evening and hurt myself getting out of the buggy.
"I saw Sam and Sarah Firestone at meeting Sunday night. They are all
well at present. We are having a snowstorm. It snowed yesterday and
drifted the snow on piles and is tolerable cold today.
"We are much obliged to you for sending us the Iron Valley Reporter.
"Mother and me are trying to sell our farm this spring. We want to go
somewhere else for better health. We have been looking for a buyer
today to come. Elias wants me to buy him out but he asks too much.
He wants $4,500. Hope this finds you all well. Emanuel Fashbaugh
