Majorie,
I don't know about access to SOLDIERS HOME, but you can access Medal of
Honor (MOH) awardees at:

Good Luck

Happy Memorial Day!
It's a quiet e-mail weekend... and I have a question.
How is it possible to access SOLDIERS HOME records.
There was a soldiers home at Lafayette and one at Marion. They must have
kept some sort of records... where are they ... are they accessible???
At least 7 men were sent to the soldiers home at Marion from the county
home
in Kosciusko County...
Levi Brallier, Jerry Buckley, John Campbell, Levi Dean, John Johnson, Aden
Kerns and Silas Myers.
I would like to find out when they died and where they are buried. The
only
time that I visited the Soldiers Home in Marion, I was treated very
rudely
and wondered at the time whether or not others had tried to gather info
from
them.
Jeremiah Kuder, Kosc. County's only medal of honor recipient is buried at
Marion. It would seem that they should have records for him. (Medical
records would be protected by the privacy act, I suppose, but genealogical
records should be available...
Can anyone enlighten me?
respectfully submitted, marge priser
