Linda,
Just a note to add to Marj Priser's response,
The Research Library has several microfilms of county newspapers. Marj
possibly forgot that we also have the Silver Lake Record (1897-1948) and the
Milford Mail Journal (originals and films). The Pierceton Record covers the
years 1879-1881, 1899, 1919-1948. The Washington Township Library at
Pierceton has bound volumes of the Pierceton Press for 1950 to 1972. There
has also been added a small collection of Nappanee newspapers to the
Research Library.

Linda,
The newspapers that date back the earliest to 1856 are at the WARSAW
COMMUNITY LIBRARY. These are the Warsaw Daily Times, the Warsaw Union and
the WarsawTimes Union, and the early newspapers called the Northern
Indianian and the Indianian Republican.
There are newspapers on microfilm at the Jail Museum, as well. The Mentone
newspapers are there, some Syracuse and Pierceton, I think. At PIERCETON,
there are the Pierceton newspapers - bound volumes, I believe. At MENTONE
library there is microfilm of the Mentone newspapers. At Syracuse, I
believe they have microfilm of the Syracuse papers.
