Dear Pam,
Oddly enough I am helping someone work on research of a Francis Marion,
too. His last name was Coplen. Would this be one of yours by any chance?
Actually she is trying to find info. on the wife of Francis (Martha Adeline
Groves).

I'm sorry that the name LIGHTCAP is unfamiliar to me. I just have to
comment on the name "Francis Marion," however! My family has two
"Francis Marions" in it, and "Marion" also appears as a first or
middle
name at least two other times. I know this refers to the "Swamp Fox" of
the Revolutionary War, but I'm intrigued that it was such a popular name
in the 1800s!
