Hi Brenda,
Ryerson Cemetery is now called HILLCREST Cemetery and it is located at the
intersection of county roads 700 East and 350 South near State Rd. 13, a
short distance south of Piereceton. Lester Binnie, who transcribed all of
the tombstone inscriptions for us in the '70's recorded:
Tennant, Lewis H. 1837-1922 G.A.R.
Elizabeth 1844-1937
Alma L. 12 Sept. 1882 -- 19 Feb 1897
Earnest E. 2 June 1880 -- 22 May 1885
Frank A. 30 Sept 1875 -- 26 Aug 1924
This is in Row 2, Section 7
p. 54 Kosciusko County Indiana Cemetery Records, Vol. IV Tippecanoe &
Washington Townships by Lester H. Binnie, c. 1977
Hope this helps!
Marge

Subject: [INKOSCIU] Ryerson Cemetery
| Does anyone know where Ryerson Cemetery is or was? Lewis B. Tennant, a
Civil
| War, veteran is buried there, but it's not on the county's cemeteries
list.
|
| An article in Yesteryear in Print from the Warsaw Daily Times on November
13,
| 1941, says a WPA graveyard search located it in Washington Twp. of
Kosciusko
| Co., Indiana.
|
| Is the cemetery still maintained? I noticed that some other Civil War
| veterans were buried there also..
