No I unfortunately do not have a firm name for his father. This is my
wife's grandfather and we are stumped. As I said, John was part of the
family lore but I think I had heard another name but didn't write it down.
Seems sort of hopeless. One of his brothers may have been Jasper.
If you can give me the three you found as possibilities, I can go over to
Ft. Worth to the Nat. Archives. They have the films but unfortunately not
indexes for all the states and all the census years.
