How much fun to get away from the usual family stuff and take a look at the
kinds of recipes my Crites family brought with them when they left Indiana.
Lots of holiday good wishes.

PS - My mom killed off about 2/3rds of our family by cooking rich pies like
these.

Hello, I am hopeing someone on the list can help me out. My
grandmother, Iva Perry Nelson of Fulton and Kosciusko Co. always made
Old Fashioned Sugar Cream Pie for family get togethers. She is gone
now, and I would like to make one for our Christmas dinner. I have
looked for a recipe in various books but have been unable to find
anything that is even close. I think this recipe is native to Northern
Indiana. Does anyone on the list have this recipe?
I am wondering whether the K Co. historical soc., or another local
organization has ever put together a cookbook of original regional
recipes?
Please contact me at jimn(a)vh.net
Thanks,
Merry Christmas
Jackie Nobles
