Subject: [INKOSCIU] Surname list
Those of us who are "local" and who monitor this list
often see
information that might be of especially helpful to those of you who are
researching Kosciusko County ancestors. There are hundreds of SURNAME
FILES
at the jail museum library that contain varying amounts of
information on
the surname. Some have lots...some have only one little item.
I OFFER THIS IDEA:
Put a list (up to 12 surnames) that you are researching or are
particularly
interested in, on this e-mail discussion "board". Give as
much or as
little
information as you want to.. such as dates, places, etc. I will run
up
to
12 copies of your e-mail and file a copy of it in EACH of the
surname
folders at the library (or create a folder, if there isn't any). Then,
when
someone comes into the library and uses the files, they will find
YOUR
SURNAME LIST in the folder along with your e-mail address. Feel free to
give your "snail mail" too, but that will be entirely up to you.
I will start the process by putting up a list of 12 names that are in my
family lines.
Who knows that can happen!
respectfully submitted,
Marge Priser
