Can anyone help find the death date and burial of Thomas J. Brandon? His first wife
Elizabeth died in 1849 and is buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Clay Twp, Kosciusko Co.
In 1850 he is living in Clay Twp and married that same year to Lovina
(Levina/Luvina/Levinia) Luke. By 1854 they are living in Buchanan Co, IA, where the
village of Brandon was named for him.
In 1860 he is back in Henry Co, IN; in 1870 in Story Co, IA; in 1880 has returned to Clay
Twp, Kosciusko Co. In 1900 a widowed Luvina Brandon is living with a widowed sister Nancy
Minear and their widowed brother George Luke in Clay Twp.
In 2004 Brandon, IA, will be celebrating 150 years. It would be nice to know what became
of the man for whom the town was named. He most likely died between the 1880 and 1900
census returns in Kosciusko Co.
Are there any descendants living today? Does anyone have a picture of this man?
Appreciate any ideas in locating more information about the Brandon family.
